Missionaries
Tonight kicked off our Missions Conference YAY!
We enjoyed hearing from two church planters tonight, its amazing what something as simple as giving money can accomplish, all those souls saved because people were ready to go and others ready to give.
An amazing thing happened to me, normally I pray daily for people, and I pray for those who ask for it. Rarely do I feel this need to pray for someone without their asking immediately. However that is exactly what happened to me yesterday.
Usually when my husbands alarm goes off, I push him and go right back to sleep. This particular morning I woke up with this desire to pray for missionaries to Mexico, the Casias family. A wonderful husband and wife team whom I had the pleasure of meeting at last years Missions conference. After praying for them I looked online hoping they had a website, they did! I let them know I was praying for them. I assumed my desire had to do with our Missions conference beginning.
Tonight I got an email from Brother Casias. Imagine my surprise to learn he had been heading from the border when a plane crashed on the highway into several cars! He just so happened to be far enough back to not sustain any damage to himself nor to his van.
That right there is just SO God. God is so merciful, God will wake you up knowing a brother or sister in Christ is in need.
God is SO wonderful!

He can eat!
well almost ;) 5 weeks ago my husband had a surgery called S.A.R.P.E, basically his palette was too small, his teeth really crooked. After years of yearly dental exams FINALLY a denist saw fit to send him to the orthodonist. Upon seeing the orthodonist he decided that he needed surgery, not just one but two *sigh* The next surgery will be in about a year from now, to break his lower jaw and reset it *shivers*.
Once in adulthood your palate hardens, as a child it is soft and a device called an RPE can be put on the roof of a childs mouth to widen it. Since hes an old man now he had to be put out while the oral surgeons made incissions on his gums to get in an loosen the palate, of course the husband could not just be an easy case, his bones were REALLY hard so it took an extra half hour to break it apart. Then we started to turn the RPE twice a day (oh yes I did get to torture him with the turns lol). He went from having his front two teeth crossed over eachother to having a gap big enough to stick a straw through! So for the last 5 weeks he has been on a liquid and 'whatever you can swallow' diet. The man has lost 25 lbs! SO NOT FAIR!
Ok well, I am glad I didnt have to have the surgery but still, he lost 25 lbs!
Yesterday was his LAST appointment with oral surgery YAY! He was given the ok to start chewing again next week, however he is giving it a try now, since the orthodonist said it wouldnt hurt anything he needed to do now, so little by little hes eating REAL whole food.
In a few months he will get his top braces put on to straight out those teeth, about 2 years from now he will be done and have straight teeth just in time to get out of the Army YAY!
Once I find my camera cord I will upload some of his pics :)

Resurrection Sunday
The day started out great :) Imagine the kids surprise when they walked downstairs to find baskets full of goodies, of course this was after I played dumb when my son asked if we had gone to the PX to get some of those 'basket thingys with stuff in them with plastic stuff over them' LOL.
After going through their new stash, we sat down to an easy breakfast of cereal. M and S scarfed down their breakfast, knowing they could play with their new goodies once they finished. B, on the other hand, decided she was not going to eat. We are at that oh so lovely age where she has decided to push every button possible to see just how much she can get away with. Of course the refusal to eat meant a major melt-down, ya know, we are obviously the meanest parents ever wanting her to eat a whopping 1/2 cup of cereal that SHE choose just minutes prior. At any rate, after a battle of wills, she ate, and off we went to church. The husband said the message was really good, as usual, since we have the BEST church ever, however I sat in the nursery, so I missed it all. After the service the kids all got to do an awesome Easter egg hunt, which of course meant lots of temptation to eat all that yummy chocolate ;)
